Diwali Greeting Cards 2012
Happy Friday, all! I’m sure you’re enjoying the foliage and the scarf weather outside. Tis the season for soups and hot-buttered breads and all that good stuff. Jumping on the bandwagon now: For the Diwali cards, which I’d promised to share this week..here are the few snippets which I’d managed to shoot in between my orders last month. For those of you who follow WLBV on twitter exactly know what these cards are about. Due to non-availablity of time, I would not be able to provide individual product snapshots. Regardless, this will give you the big-picture.
I wanted all the colors to be in the quintessential Diwali Festival colors. As you will see below, the inspiration for these cards stemmed from the classical Diwali elements – rangoli, paisleys prints, fire-sparklers, traditional flower, festive buntings, oil lamps (diyas). A lot of these card (sets of 10) each were hand-painted, while some were even hand-stiched, some gold-embossed by hand, and the rest hand-stamped..
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend! xo
